GERALD R. EHRMAN AWARD FOR LEADERSHIP IN SAFETY MANAGEMENT
The Occupational Safety Committee established this award to recognize a special plant manager who has demonstrated outstanding leadership in Safety Management. The first recipient of this award was Jerry Ehrman of DuPont, who retired in 2007. Jerry served as Chairman of TCC from 2004 – 2005 and as Chairman of the Occupational Safety Committee from 1998 until his retirement in 2007. Jerry was extremely dedicated to TCC, ACIT and the Occupational Safety Committee, and a strong supporter of the EHS Seminar.
The committee decided that this award would be named in Jerry’s honor as the “Gerald R. Ehrman Award for Safety Management” and would only be given to a plant manager who embodies the same leadership and dedication to Safety Management that Mr. Ehrman exhibited throughout his many years of service to his company and to TCC.
